ON-SITE TRAINING

PHASE I TRAINING/ Powers to Arrest/Weapons of Mass Destruction (8 hrs.) $ 70
This course will provide participants with the initial state mandated information required for future employment with a private or in house security agency.
PHASE 2 TRAINING (16 hrs.) $140
This course meets the training requirements set by the State of California for the required 16 hours of training that must be completed within 30 days of being issued a Guard Card. Participants will discuss Chemical Agents, Public Relations, Employer Policies / Orientation, Observation & Documentation, Communication and its Significance, Liability / Legal Aspects, Post Orders & Assignments, and Officer Safety.
PHASE 3 TRAINING (16 hrs.) $140
This course meets the training requirements set by the State of California for the required remaining 16 hours of training that must be completed within 6 months of being issued a Guard Card. Participants will discuss preserving an incident/crime scene, Arrest, Search & Seizure, crowd control and driver safety.
NOTE: Participant’s may register for all three levels of training (Power’s to Arrest/WMD,
Level 1, Level II and Level III), for a discounted price of $340.00. The course will last a total of 40 hours.

SECURITY OFFICER FIREARM PERMIT (14 hrs) $150
The California State Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Security & Investigative Services for any person desiring to carry an exposed firearm while on duty, requires this course. This course is designed for security guards, armored car personnel, armed alarm response agents, and private investigators. Participants will be instructed in basic weapons safety, legal and ethical aspects, ballistics, basic weapon fundamentals, marksmanship and qualification.

FIREARM RE-QUALIFICATION: (2 hrs Lecture) $20 and/or (3 hour Range Live Fire) $30
In order to maintain a valid firearm permit, a security officer must re-qualify 4 times during a 2 year period. There must be 4 months in between each of your firearm qualifications. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to submit all 4 re-qualification documents for renewal to BSIS no later than 60 days prior to the expiration date in order to allow BSIS time to send the new license.

Impact Weapon (Baton) Course: (8 hrs) $135
This course more than satisfies the instructional requirements necessary for security personnel to possess and carry an impact weapon (side-handle baton, straight baton, and expandable batons) while on duty. Participants will be instructed in the legal, ethical, and moral aspects, strikes, blocks, and first aid for impact strikes, documentation, and some crowd control techniques.
(All state required paperwork, BSIS wallet sized certification card, and an instructional manual are provided)
BSIS mandates a $50 license fee. This is a one-time fee valid for life or until the guard card is allowed to expire.

Chemical Agents (4 hrs.) $35
This course is POST-Approved and was designed for local Public Safety Officers. This course will instruct its participants in the history of “OC”, its ingredients, legal aspects, deployment/use, first aid, documentation, disposal, and crowd control techniques.
(Private Citizens are not required by state law to possess an approved chemical agent, which contains 2.5 oz., or less.)
*Participants who complete this course will be issued a wallet size certificate, which security personnel must have in their possession while on duty.

Basic Handcuffing Course (4 hrs.) $35
This is a practical course which allows the security officer to be exposed to the basic techniques of handcuffing. Participants will participate in proper placement and safety techniques which occur while handcuffing a suspect.
Taser (M26 or X26) (6 hrs.) $80
This is a hands on course, which is approved by Taser International and is currently being instructed to Law Enforcement Nation

YEARLY REFRESHER COURSE (8 hrs.) $50
This course meets the training requirements set by the State of California for the required 8 hours of training that must be completed every Guard Card holder must stay compliant. A copy of the numbered certificate revealing your completion in this class must be in your personnel file at your employment agency every year. ***We also offer a four hour baton refresher course which will meet the requirements for the 8 hour refresher course. This course can only be taken every other year. Baton Refresher course is $40.00

First Aid ONLY (3.5 hours) $40
The courses in the program teach skills that participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced medical personnel arrive and take over.

Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED (7 hrs.) $87
